Purpose
These terms govern the use of Yoon Fret — mobile app, website and administration interface — published by Yoon, entreprise individuelle — RCCM SN DKR 2026 M 16445 — NINEA 008381022.
Creating an account constitutes acceptance of these terms.
The service
Yoon Fret is a digital marketplace that connects shippers, carriers and merchants for the organisation of road freight transport on West African corridors.
Yoon is neither a carrier nor a freight forwarder: the transport contract is formed directly between the shipper and the carrier. Yoon provides the tool, verifies users’ identities and secures the payment.
Access to the service
- Sign-up is free and restricted to adults.
- It is open to individuals and to companies operating in the transport or shipping of goods.
- Access to freight posting, quoting and payment features is conditional on identity verification (KYC).
- Each account is personal. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for actions taken from your account.
KYC verification
Trust on Yoon rests on verifying every profile beforehand. We ask for the following documents:
| Role | Documents required |
|---|---|
| Shipper — individual | Valid identity document. |
| Shipper or merchant — company | Identity document of the representative, RCCM company registration, NINEA tax number. |
| Carrier | Identity document, valid driving licence, vehicle registration document, transport insurance certificate. |
Yoon reserves the right to refuse or suspend an account whose documents are incomplete, expired or forged. Suspension is immediate where there is serious doubt about a document’s authenticity, even before any investigation.
Posting freight and accepting an offer
The shipper posts freight with all the information relevant to the transport: origin, destination, nature of the goods, weight, volume, requested pickup date, indicative price. This information must be accurate.
Carriers available on the corridor submit an offer. Acceptance of an offer by the shipper creates the carrier’s obligation to transport and the shipper’s obligation to pay, as soon as the escrow deposit is confirmed.
Escrow payment
The shipper deposits the agreed price, with nothing added, into an escrow account via Mobile Money (Wave, Orange Money, MTN MoMo, YAS). The funds are held until the shipper validates delivery.
On validation, the funds are released to the carrier within a maximum of 48 working hours, less the Yoon commission.
If no validation is given within 72 hours of the carrier declaring delivery, and in the absence of a reported dispute, release happens automatically in the carrier’s favour.
Disputes
A shipper or a carrier may open a dispute at any point during the mission. Yoon then suspends the release of funds and examines the case on the record (messages, photos, GPS positions, proof of delivery).
Yoon decides on release, refund or a split, within ten working days. The decision states its reasons and is notified to both parties.
A Yoon decision does not deprive any party of its right to bring proceedings before the competent courts.
Commission
Yoon charges a commission on every mission carried through to completion, at the rate in force at the time of settlement — when the funds are released to the carrier — as shown on the Pricing page. It is withheld from that payment: the shipper pays no commission.
No fee is charged on a mission cancelled before pickup, nor on a refunded mission.
Obligations of the parties
- The shipper warrants the accuracy of the information about the goods (nature, weight, value, hazardousness).
- The carrier undertakes to perform the mission on the agreed terms and to keep GPS tracking switched on throughout the transport.
- The carrier undertakes to keep its documents (licence, registration, insurance) up to date. An expired document results in the automatic suspension of offers.
- Both parties undertake not to make contact outside the app for the purpose of bypassing escrow payment or the Yoon commission.
Prohibited goods
Yoon prohibits the transport of goods that are unlawful under the law of the country of departure or of arrival: narcotics, undeclared weapons, counterfeit goods, protected animals, regulated waste outside an authorised channel, goods subject to embargo.
Dangerous goods (ADR) are permitted only where they are declared as such when the freight is posted and are entrusted to a qualified carrier.
Prohibited uses
- Using another person’s account, or attempting to access data not intended for you.
- Posting fake freight or submitting fake offers.
- Extracting, copying or redistributing other users’ data.
- Disrupting the operation of the service or circumventing its controls.
- Using vehicle positions for purposes unrelated to the transport of the mission concerned.
A breach may result in the immediate suspension of the account, without prejudice to civil or criminal proceedings.
Personal data
The processing of data is described in the privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms. It sets out in particular what is collected for KYC purposes and the retention periods imposed by regulation.
Ownership
The applications, the dashboard, their content and their trade marks belong to Yoon. Using them confers no ownership right.
Data entered by a user remains theirs.
Changes to and end of the service
Features and prices may change. A substantial change to these terms is flagged in the app at the next login.
An account may be closed at the holder’s request. The consequences for data are described on the account deletion page. Yoon may also close an account in the event of a serious or repeated breach.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law in force in Sénégal. Any dispute shall first be the subject of an attempt at amicable settlement before any contentious action.
